In art, reality has its own ratings and fashion. An artist’s success is not in a place occupied, but in time. There in need style-made policy. Our mainstream is defined with a circle of our colleagues and friends. They are not very young, all our people are nice, but one wouldn’t call them super trendy, that’s why our mainstream is old fashioned and slow.
Kasimir Malevich (1879-1935), Russian painter and theorist, founder of Supermatism. Born and trained near Kiev, he settled in Moscow in 1905.His painting style thereafter reflects the influence of a succession of European movements, from impressionism and Post-Impressionism, through a primitivist celebration of peasant life – due largely to his association with Cubism and Futurism. By 1915 he had produced his first purely abstract geometric compositions, which he labeled Suprematism.
Russian fine art of the end of the 20th century dropped out of art critics view due to Perestroika. Sots art of Perestroika period was at the center of attention, because there was quite a recognized political context, and the interest towards Russia, concerning politics was equal to zero.
